A TOP lawyer hanged herself after working on the case of murdered
black teenager Stephen Lawrence. Friends and family top lawyer movies of 44-year-old Jennifer Hudspeth blame stress for her death. Jennifer, Crown legal aid help Prosecution Service chief for south-east London, had to deal with a high workload and poor relations with police, a London inquest heard. She was found hanging from a bannister at her Hampstead flat by her brother-in-law after she called him to say she couldn't cope at work. Her colleague Pauline Dunleavy told the inquest that the CPS had ground Jenny down. "It was an extremely high crime area with a ask a lawyer lot of problems to do with staff and relations with the police." The inquest returned an open verdict. Police believe they are closing in on two new suspects in the Lawrence case - a year after an inquiry report blamed them for a series of blunders.
